Installing Extensions

Extensions make Nebo more capable. There are three types: skills, agents, and MCP servers.

Install Codes

The easiest way to install an extension is with an install code. These look like:

SKILL-3AEK-7MPB
AGNT-8XFD-2QPN

Paste the code into Nebo's chat and it handles the rest.

From the Marketplace

Browse available extensions at neboloop.com. Each listing includes:

• What the extension does
• Required tool permissions
• User ratings and reviews
• Install code

Manual Installation

You can also install extensions manually by placing files in Nebo's data directory:

• Skills: [data-dir]/skills/[name]/SKILL.md
• Agents: [data-dir]/agents/[name]/AGENT.md

Data directory locations:

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/nebo/
• Linux: ~/.local/share/nebo/
• Windows: %APPDATA%/nebo/

MCP Servers

MCP servers are configured in Nebo's settings. They connect external tools and data sources. See MCP Servers for details.

Permissions

When you install an extension, Nebo shows you what tools and permissions it needs. You can approve or deny each one individually.
